1ST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON GREEN AND SUSTAINABLE COMPUTING 2017 (ICoGeS 2017)
The 1st International Conference on Green and Sustainable Computing 2017 (ICoGeS 2017) is the first international conferences organized by the Green ICT Research Group, CEGeoGTech, UniMAP.
The rapid expansion of development in information and communication technology (ICT), media, networking and computing has a significant impact to the way human is communicating and doing businesses nowadays. This phenomenon has led to the innovation of the latest technologies in the management of complex data known as 'big data services'. In general, 'cloud computing' is advancement in computer technology development where computer that connects to the Internet has the functionality to run a program or application of the Internet on that computer at the same time. Cloud computing is a technology that makes the Internet as a central server for managing data and user applications. This technology allows the user to run the program without installation and allow users to access their personal data through a computer with Internet access.
'Green computing' refers to the use of a computer and its resources that are 'environmentally-responsible' and 'eco-friendly'. In the wider terms, it is also defined as the study of designing, engineering, manufacturing, used and disposed of the equipment in ways that reduce the environmental impact of computers. Many computer based manufacturers and suppliers continuously invest in the design of efficient computer equipment, energy, reduce the use of hazardous substances and promote re-usability of digital devices and paper.
Technology in general, Computing and Science in particular are becoming an important support for many activities directly or indirectly related to sport sciences, including improvement of physical activities, sports medicine, biotechnology and nutrition, sports management, and all imaginable application areas in sports. This conference intends to be a meeting point of both academics and practitioners, in order to exchange ideas and developed synergies.
Accordingly, these international conferences ICoGeS 2017 will provide an opportunity for academics, researchers and professional practitioners to share their knowledge on issues, opportunities and challenges that need to be studied and addressed. The findings were shared through presentations and sharing ideas by "key notes". The talks by Guest Speakers are expected to provide input and insight to support the development of the latest issues of ''Cloud Computing', 'Green Computing' and 'Sustainable Computing' to the global level.
The conference is expected to attract the participation of academics, researchers and professional practitioners of 'Cloud Computing', 'Green Computing' and 'Sustainable Computing' in Malaysia and abroad. Knowledge sharing of ideas among academics and professionals has the potential to bridge gaps and build understanding the various aspects of the development and management of 'Cloud Computing', 'Green Computing' and 'Sustainable Computing' nationally or internationally.
